Neighborhood Safety Summit

The Safety Summit is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Robinson Community Learning Center, 921 N. Eddy St. in South Bend.  South Bend Police will offer info on staying safe, and county prosecutor Michael Dvorak will be on hand to ask questions. Light refreshments will be served.

William Barry is updating the information on Neighborhood Watch, a part of the overall strategy and goal to have all neighbors in the northeast community represented by or participating in a Neighborhood Watch group. Ideas shared at the September public safety committee meeting included signs for display in Neighborhood Watch communities.

Notre Dame student service project proposals

The Northeast Neighborhood Council is looking for projects to fulfill some University of Notre Dame student service requirements. Anyone with ideas for student projects may contact the NENC.
